Ever since Rolex announced their 2020 watches, I’ve been obsessing over the new Oyster Perpetuals. Originally I had my mind set on the green lacquered dial but was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger until I saw the watch in person. I'm thinking of buying a Rolex OP 41 but I'm a little undecided about which dial color to choose, regardless of availability in the boutique. I would be willing to choose the green one, but the blue and black are not bad either. A little out .
My final decision is now between the blue ("bright blue" aka the normal one, not the turquoise or any fancy lacquer dial) and the silver (also sunburst, with gold hands). I think the Oyster Perpetual line is the only current Rolex watch I'd consider, and the grey is really nice, although I'd prefer the 36mm version. I think 36mm looks better on everyone with a wrist this side of 8".

My observation is in no way a diminishing of your Oyster Perpetual in its current version. What a great watch indeed with the Rolex design and engineering, sporting the iconic Oyster bracelet. And, really, congratulations on the acquisition.
I purchased this Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36mm 126000 (Green Dial) from my local authorized dealer two weeks ago and am enjoying the improvements over my Explorer 114270, which I've been wearing for about 6-months as my daily. The Oyster Perpetual 36 w/White Dial is a solid watch in it's own right, especially for the traditionalist with an eye for the more period sized cases or those wanting a more conservative timepiece. Some of the oyster perpetuals are nice, especially the newer white dial ones. but the Explorer is the best looking Rolex in my humble opinion. I’d get the newer 39mm Explorer 1 in a heartbeat. It’s the best of the steel sports.
I was looking for a Tudor Black Bay 36, which was not in stock at the AD (no AD in my city seems to have it). We talked a bit and came to talk about the Oyster Perpetual, the demand, the waitlists etc. Just before I left he asked if I would be interested in the OP36 - he could put me on the list.
