This is something Rolex failed to consider when designing the Oyster bracelet. Here is a photo of the damage a rivet can do to a link (seen here on their later release Oyster 93250). It's amazing how much damage a rivet can do to a solid steel link without some type of relief.
Pins are constantly coming loose in oyster bracelet. I have had my batman for about 5 yrs and I have to tighten the pins on the bracelet more than I would like to. I never have this problem with any other watches. Does this happen to anyone else?
Under close inspection the assembly pins are showing through. This is not normal. In additional to missing chunks of steel, large amounts of gold are missing from the corners of the gold center loops. To repair this we will need laser weld new . Keep in mind that you should only polish those links within the bracelet that have a polished surface, such as the center links in the Oyster Bracelet. Polishing the external links there, for example, will damage the burnished finish. The Rolex bracelet tolerances are so tight (new or old style) that you can easily feel if one screw is starting to raise up and loosen.
