I was wondering if it's best to get a relaxer after taking these braids out, and then get it re-braided 3 weeks later. A full head sewn in weave or individual braids. Which has the less potential damage. My hair needs a rest,I manipulate my hair EVERYDAY but i want a cute style (I hate buns). I want it to only be in 6-8 weeks. Thanks in advance. Note: I am really sensitive, so if someone disses me for wearing a weave I WILL get depressed and want to take it out.
Small to medium braids work better. Especially for those of you with permed hair. If you choose to have "micro" braids, please do not keep it in for more that 6-8 weeks. Instead of paying 0 plus for "micro" braids, go for a style that will cost you half the price, last the same period of time and keeps your hair intact.

So I basically am rebraiding my hair every day. I'm just worried that this might be too much manipulation. erplexed Even though I'm not using a comb I still have to run my fingers through my hair alot when i've taken . I use to constantly get sew ins and the constant tight braids made my hair very very thin. Now that I'm taking care of my hair (thanks 2 u ladies here) and not getting sew ins, I always have my hair in 2 or 4 plaits under my wigs or half wigs (yea I've been wiggin it . Ok, so a friend of mine had her hair in braids and decided to let her friend, who's a stylist, do the brazilian blowout on her hair for only 0...a real deal right? NOT!!!! He made it seem like he knew how to handle black hair and he didn't at .
